Kourses is built around two core concepts: Products and Memberships. Understanding how these two things work together is the key to getting your content live and selling.
In short: you create your content as a Product, then you sell access to it through a Membership. This separation gives you a lot of flexibility — the same product can be sold in multiple ways without ever duplicating your content.
A product is the content you deliver to your members. Kourses supports four product types:
Course: Structured lesson-based content organised into modules.
Community: A space for members to connect and engage with each other and with you.
Digital Download Library: A collection of downloadable files and resources.
Content Page: A flexible page for sharing information such as welcome messages, guidelines, or announcements.
You can also extend any product with Add-Ons — for example, attaching a support community or a downloads library to a course. Add-ons are grouped under the main product in your members area sidebar, keeping everything neatly bundled together.
Once your product is ready, click Publish to make it available for sale.
A membership is how you package your product for sale. It defines what's included, how it's priced, and what the purchase experience looks like from checkout through to thank you page.
Within a membership you can include one product or bundle multiple products together. Because a product can belong to multiple memberships, you can offer the same content across different pricing tiers, bundles, or promotional offers — without duplicating anything.
Memberships also give you full control over how each product is delivered within that specific offer. Even if a course is normally set to release all at once, you can override the drip schedule within a membership to release it lesson by lesson instead.
Each membership can have one or more pricing plans, giving buyers options at checkout. The plan types available are:
Free: Grant access at no cost.
One-time payment: A single charge for ongoing access.
Subscription: Recurring payments on a weekly, monthly, or annual basis.
Instalment plan: The total cost split across a set number of payments.
Kourses gives you built-in tools to increase the value of every sale:
Order bumps: Add one or more offers directly on the checkout page. Each order bump is another membership you have set up for sale, making it easy to offer complementary products at the point of purchase.
Upsells: Present a single higher-value offer after the initial purchase is complete, as part of the post-checkout funnel flow.
You can also use product visibility settings to promote products inside your members area. By setting a product to show to all members regardless of access, those without it will see a lock screen with your sales copy and a direct link to your checkout — a frictionless cross-sell that works around the clock. If the member already has a payment method on record, their card details are tokenised and they can purchase with a single click.
Once your membership is configured, you are ready to start selling. From within the membership:
Use the Share Link to copy your checkout URL — this is the link you promote across your marketing channels.
Use Preview to check how your upsell and thank you pages look before sending traffic.
Use Test Checkout to run a test purchase and confirm that your entire funnel is working correctly end to end.
To bring it all together, here is a simple example of how a creator might use Kourses:
They build a Course product with lessons, a welcome video, and a community add-on for peer support.
They create a standard membership selling the course with a one-time payment plan, and a premium membership bundling the same course with a digital downloads library at a higher price.
They add the premium membership as an order bump on the standard checkout, so standard buyers see the upgrade offer at the point of purchase.
Inside the members area, the digital downloads product is set to show regardless of access, so standard members are shown the lock screen and can upgrade with a single click.
They add an upsell to the post-purchase funnel offering a coaching session membership at a special one-time price.
One product. Two offers. Multiple revenue touchpoints — all without duplicating a single piece of content.
