How to create a pricing plan for your membership

Overview

In Kourses, you can create up to two pricing plans per membership. These can be:

• A free plan

• A one-time payment

• A subscription plan

• An installment plan

Each plan gives you flexibility in how you sell your course or membership.

1. Create a Free Membership Plan

You can offer free access to a membership.

How to Do It:

• Click “Add new pricing plan.”

• Choose the free option.

• Click “Add pricing plan.”

Important Notes:

• Once you’ve added a free plan, you cannot add a paid plan to that membership.

• The checkout page for a free plan won’t show any payment fields—just name, email, and password.

2. Create a One-Time Payment Plan

This is perfect for higher-ticket offers or one-off payments.

Steps:

• Click “Add new pricing plan.”

• Select One-Time Payment.

• Enter your price (e.g. $1000).

• Click “Add pricing plan.”

You can now add a second paid plan—either a subscription or an installment.

3. Add a Subscription Plan

Use this if you'd like to charge users on a recurring basis.

Options Include:

• Set a price (e.g. $19).

• Choose the frequency: daily, weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, every 6 months, or yearly.

• Add a trial period (e.g. 14 days).

• Add a setup fee (e.g. $99 for a welcome call or onboarding).

Example:

• $19/month after a 14-day free trial.

• Plus a $99 setup fee charged at signup.

4. Create an Installment Plan

Ideal for breaking up a large payment over time.

Steps:

• Select Installment Plan.

• Set:

  • The amount per payment (e.g. $200)

  • The number of payments (e.g. 5)

  • Any trial period or setup fee (optional)

Example:

• Break down a $1000 product into 5 monthly payments of $200.

• No trial, no setup fee.

5. Preview the Checkout Page

Once your pricing plans are added:

• Click “Save”.

• Go to your checkout page and refresh it.

You’ll now see:

• All available pricing options

• Users can choose between one-time, subscription, or installment options.

6. Reorder Pricing Plan Display

Want a specific plan to appear first on the checkout?

• Just drag and drop the plan above or below the other to change the order.
